Despues de un paron por vacaciones volvemos, y volvemos con alguna sorpresita que os desvelare muy pronto.

Agosto ha sido un mes de descanso, precioso, lleno de sorpresas, de lagrimas de alegria, de despejarnos, y disfrutar. De playa, y de un sol inmenso, de mucha fruta exotica y zumos de naranja, de quemarme a rayas y a trozos. De pataditas en la barriga. De seres magicos de mar y muchas fotos. Que tal vosotros?

After the long holydays that we took, we came with some surprise that we are going to speak about it soon.

August was a month for the rest, and big bright sun, exotic fruits and orange juices, of burn a little bit my skin, beach, fell the little kickes in the belly ( is the correct experrion?), full of magical animals in the ocean and alot of photographs. What about you?

Nos vamos de vacaciones!

Estaremos una semana en la nueva casa familiar de la Costa Azul, y despues...husband tiene un viaje sorpresa! algunas pistas: playa paradisiaca, bikini, tortugas marinas y mucha crema de playa.

Aunque me tengo que llevar el portatil para cumplir con algunos compromisos profesionales que tengo que tener listos para septiembre, estaremos sin apenas conexion, pero...antes de irme....

We are going on holidays!

We will be at the new family house in the blue coast and husband has a surprise trip for me. Some tracks: paradiso beach, bikini, turtoises and tons of sun tan.

Although i have to carry with me the mac, for finish some works that they have to be ready for september, we will be without conexion most of the time...but before i am going...

Ayer sali a recoger lavanda...ya han empezado a secarse.

Yesterday i went to look for lavender...they just started to dry.

Soy adicta a las sandalias, y en concreto a esta marca, tengo como unos 12 pares entre sandalias, botas y zapatos...

I am addict to the sandals, an concretely this brand, i have like 10 pairs of them, between boots, sandals and shoes.

Hemos recogido los primeros tomates de la huerta...son inmensos, una variedad muy conocida en la zona, y estan riquisimos.

Hace unos 6 meses diseñe esta web para esta pequeña marca de San Sebastian.

En mi boceto original no estaba el fondo de pantalla que le han puesto, pero no importa, es un estampado que realize igualmente para su coleccion de verano 2011. Diseño sencillo, acorde con su nueva imagen corporativa, y una interfaz facil e intuitiva.

Hoy nos vamos a la playa. Despues de 3 dias nubosos, y algo frios, hoy por fin, vuelve a asomar el sol con toda su fuerza. Mi coleccion de collares playeros viajara mañana por la mañana a varias tiendas de mi pueblo, y a una casa en Australia.

El día despierta despacio, sin prisa, abriendo los ojos tímidamente a la vez que lo hace el sol en el horizonte y ya puedo oler la mañana detrás de mis cortinas de rayas azules. El pequeño ático que he alquilado cerca del Musee D´Orsay huele a recién pintado, muebles estilo años 20 y cigarrillos. Mi sueño esta noche ha sido ligero, pausado, no me puedo creer que por fin este aquí. No ha sido un camino fácil, pero al fin, puedo decirme a mi mismo “que lo he conseguido”. Hoy me he propuesto tomármelo con calma y saborear el momento, al igual que una buena taza de café en la Place du Tertre. El sabor, profundo , tiene que ir deslizándose por mi garganta, y quedar anclado en ese baúl de recuerdos de mi mente. Lo siento lleno, pero justo a tiempo para guardar todos aquellos momentos que siempre me imagine mientras era apenas un chaval y leia historias de grandes nombres.

Llegare despacio. El sol, el olor del ambiente, los tilos en flor, en color de la urbe, todos me ayudaran a afrontar el día que me espera. Estoy sereno y preparado. Camino lentamente por la calle y me pellizco levemente el brazo. Se que están todos allí esperándome. Veo que mis pies se alejan, mi cabeza les sigue, y consciente del día, subo la escalinata de la parte trasera del auditorio principal, y oigo una voz familiar.

A pesar de que tenia las piezas, nunca se me habia ocurrido juntarlas. Hace poquito me regalaron una cajita de caramelos lo mas curiosa. La pena es que la deje en el coche un dia de mucho calor y termino siendo una bola de colores pegada, pero los caramelos eran artesanos, con formas diferentes, bolas, cuadrados, cubos...y de colores muy vibrantes. Al retomar mi pequeño hobby por los collares, las pulseras y las bolitas, al ver estas curiosas formas de nacar de muchos colares, tuve un pequeño deja vú. Asi nacio este pequeño collar de lo mas dulce.

Although it had the pieces, I had never happen together. Not too long ago I got a box of candy the most curious. The penalty is to let them in the car a very hot day and ended up being a colored ball attached...but the candies were artisans, with different shapes, balls, squares, cubes ... and very vibrant colors. Taking up my little hobby for necklaces, seeing these strange shapes of many of pearlcollars, I had a little deja vu. This was they way it born this small sweet pendant.

Esto fue un encargo para una clienta, pero gusto tanto que termine haciendo en varios colores a muchas de sus amigas. He vuelto a hacer uno en azul, por que ya estamos en verano, y a veces me gusta el tema marinero, rayas azules o rojas y blancas. Viva Saint Tropez!

This was a custome work for a client, and she like so much that finally made more of them but in diferent colors. I took teh decision to make one again in blues, because we are in summer and i like so much the blue or red with white stripes, remenbering me to Saint Tropez.

Hace no mucho mi aita, que es un artista en su tiempo libre, me dijo que me diera una vuelta por su taller

(que es la buhardilla de la casa) haber si encontraba algo que me pudiera servir mientras estoy en mi pequeño periodo de descanso extremo, ( que dentro de poco os contare a que se debe ), y encontre una caja con un monton de retales de cuero. Creo que ya es una idea muy trillada en esto del handmade, pero queria probar yo tambien, ya que no es que yo sea muy fan del cuero, pero quiza cortandolo en triangulitos....

Pondre un monton de collares esta semana y la proxima a la venta en mi tienda Etsy.

No todos seran echos con cuero, pero si tendran la geometria como hilo conductor.

El cojin que os enseñe el otro dia esta pensado como gemelo de este otro cojin. Los dos juntos quedaran muy chulos a que si? me encanta mezclar los colores un poquito apagados con tonos fluor, el resultado es muy fresco. Este tambien esta disponible en Envelop.

Siento haberme perdido estos dias, y siento haberme ido sin un motivo. Ultimamente estoy en las nubes, y a 10.000 km de distancia. Comiendo arroz, tallarines, bolitas de pescado y soja. Estoy viendo mundo, conociendo vidas, perspectivas, talentos, y trabajando en un futuro proyecto que me tiene muy ilusionada y que espero mostraros muy pronto.Tambien estoy descansando. El resultado de unos años extenuantes de trabajo ha echo que estos dos ultimos años, me lo tome con mas calma y busque una vida mas relajada, y que a menudo, sueñe, me evada, y busque nuevos horizontes para explorar.

Por cierto, gracias por todas las felicitaciones recibidas, a todas las nuevas propuestas, espero celebrarlo con una bonita sorpresa cuando este de la vuelta.

Ultimamente mi sueño es profundo, pero intranquilo. Me despierto de madrugada, con la sensacion de haber dormido una eternidad. Miro el reloj y me doy cuenta de que solo han pasado 3 horas desde que me fui a dormir. Hoy no ha sido una excepcion. La lluvia, me ha despertado. No he podido evitar salir al porche, y contemplar la tormenta. A lo lejos, podia oir a los caballos de la casa de enfrente, que como yo, estaban despiertos, contemplando el cielo, y las luces que a esa hora habitaban en el.

Ha habido gente que se ha puesto en contacto conmigo por que Etsy les resultaba complicado a la hora de comprar por el idioma, y por eso terminaba arreglando la venta por mail.

Bien, ahora mi tienda esta diponible en español en Artesanio. Artesanio es un proyecto nuevo dedicado al handmade, y la illustracion, en forma de venta online en español.La voy a ir probando durante un tiempo, y tengo menos productos que en Etsy, por lo que si echas en falta alguno, solo tienes que decirmelo.

My lavender wardrobe

En agosto, despues de mudarnos a nuestra nueva casa, y despues de que nos pusieran los armarios empotrados de madera, estuve buscando algun tipo de bolsita con buen olor, ( y huir de las tipicas bolas que siempre huelen igual y me hacen estornudar) que camuflara ese olor de pintura y barniz.

Como no encontraba lo que tenia en la cabeza, y como mi suegra era muy dada a secar hojas, flores y demas cosas que se encuentra en el campo, me hize con ramas de lavanda y rosas secas.

Un poco de tela, unos hilos de colores, cintas de raso y voila! tengo gatos dormilones con olor a lavanda y a rosa en el armario.

In august, we when come to our new house and after building the new wardrobes, i was looking for some nice elements to put inside with nice smell.

Like i was not finding somethinh i was imagining adn like my mather in law likes to dried flowers, branch and other elements of the nature, i ask for some lavender and roses.

A bit of fabric, some thread, satin belts and voila! i have some sleeping cats with lavender and roses smelt in my wardrobes.

Estos son algunas cositas que han llegado a mi correo esta semana o que me han regalado. Parece mi cumpleaños!!

Diadema de Secretos de Alcoba; que auqnue yo no soy de llevar estas cosas no pude resistirme para usarla algun dia muy especial.

Broche amapola de Lamai ; hice un intercambio en el Nomada con Marta, no es precioso? las amapolas son unas flores tan agradecidas, tan llenar de ese color rojo chillon , tan brillante...

Collar con 3 triangulitos de A lovely Little Shop ; Chelsea hace estos collares tan chulos con triangulitos, y pense, es perfecto para este verano.

Pulseras con chinitos de porcelana de plata, (tambien tengo el colgante) y colgante con mega piedra que me ha regalado mi ama. Tienen un monton de años, se los compro en algun viaje que hizo ella de joven, y por fin!! son mios!!! la pulsera de los chinos es muy muy especial, tanto y tan delicada que me da miedo ponermela.

Por fin! despues de todos los nervios, preparativos y un viaje largo y lleno de calor, superamos la prueba del Nomada Market!

Han sido 3 dias muy intensos, muy cansados pero hemos venido de vuelta con muchos nuevos amigos, algunos proyectos muy interesantes, y hemos puesto cara a mucha gente!

Gracias a todos los que me visitais en este blog por pasaros a decirnos hola, gracias a Vireta que fue la primera en llegar y que despues de mails y mails por fin nos conocemos, a Maria de Miguel la chica tan dulce que esta detras de Emes, a Muxugorri y su pequeño Ibai, al chico que se llevo el espejito con la Little Girl con flequillo para su novia, y a las tiendas que os pasasteis en persona para conocer mi trabajo.

A compañeros que se llevaron algunas de nuestras ilustraciones, me ha encantado conoceros, Unic &co ; Thais tiene unos complementos preciosos, Tropico de Cancer y Demeniñas ; las chicas mas simpaticas, Lamai ; mañana os enseño un super broche de porcelana que intercambie con ella, es el broche mas bonito del mundo! , a Beatriz de Lolailo, por su simpatia y por que esperamos vernos mas a menudo, a la pareja De Retales....y....ay....seguro que me dejo a mucha gente olvidada, pero gracias todos, ha sido una experiencia inolvidable!

Esta es una de las colecciones mas extrañas que tengo. Son puntas de flecha echas por los indios americanos, y una especie de "cuchillo" para tallar, o cortar. Las encontro mi abuelo en el desierto americano, hace un monton de años, cuando por entonces nuestra familia vivia alli. He echo un pequeño estampado inspirandome en ellas.

This is the most strange collection that i own. They are arrows tips made by the american indians and one kind of knife for cut or to sculp. They were found by my grandfather in the american desert, a lot of time ago, when my family was living there. I made a little all over inspiring in them.

Yesterday was one of those infernal days with wind, rain and tricky sea. This is my little view of yesterday. Today stays the same.After the storm comes the calm.

Esta semana me ha llegado un postal de Minifanfan. Esta artista de Malasia tiene unos personajes super entrañables. Con motivo del nuevo año chino Minifanfan me mando a este conejillo con gafas de sol. Todo un detalle de su parte.

La primavera ya empieza a asomar, que alegría. El buen tiempo de la semana pasada hizo que nos acordaramos del mar. Cojimos las mochilas, y allí estaba, a 7 km, tal y como los recordabamos.

Todavía tengo una legión de pequeñas personitas esperando a ser pintadas, pobres, se están aburriendo.

The spring is beginning to start, i am happy. Bacause of the good weather of the last week,we went to the sea. It was there at 7 km, beautifull as always. I had this little people ready to paint, they are getting bored.

Tengo cajas de laton y metal por toda la casa, llenas de cosas que he ido comprando, que me ha dado mi ama, o mi amuma, o he traido de algun viaje. A lo tonto te vas encontrando con minicolecciones de cosas que crees que vas a usar algun dia, no os pasa? botones, lazos, telas, hilos, cadenas, rotuladores...Las cajas, por suerte, me las regala todas mi suegra.Al final, tambien parece que las colecciono.

I have lot of metal boxes in my house, they are full of things that i bought, also in some trips, or things that my mother or grandmatehr give me. Step by step, you can notice that you have a lot of things that you think that you are going to use one day: buttons, ribbons, fabrics, charms, markers...the boxes, luckly my mother in law used to present me. Finally you can notice that i also collect metal boxes.

Cambios

Los cambios vienen cuando los necesitas o simplemente cuando llaman a la puerta.Un tiempo para reflexionar, para volver a la intimidad y volver a sentir mis manos, y dejar descansar la maquina.

Nuevos cambios se avecinan, una etapa que termina y otra que comienza. Nuevos proyectos. Emocion. Curiosidad. Mucho trabajo de por medio.

El blog ahora es mas ordenado, mas intimo, silencioso, un reflejo mas real de mi persona.

(todavia estoy haciendo algunos cambios en el, pero seguire actualizando en la medida de lo posible)

Sometimes the changes are coming when you need, o just they are knocking to your door. A time to take a rest, to come back to the privacy, fell my hands, give alone the machine.

New changes are coming, one phase has finish and another one is beginning. Emotion. Curiosity. A lot of work in the middle.

The blog now, is more organized , more silent, close to who i am.

( i am still doing some changes step by step, but i will be updating as i soon as i can)

Todavia estamos a vueltas con la decoracion de nuestra nueva casa, por que lo mas dificil es pornernos de acuerdo!. Mientras yo me decanto hacia colores claros, paredes blancas, algun mueble negro y blanco y mucho madera natural que haga juego con el suelo de madera de roble y mucho detalle handmade y de diseño, él prefiere colgarme patines de skate y guitarras por todas partes.Uno o dos bale, pero oye, por toda la casa? Por lo menos la bonita moldura de escayola barroca ya esta puesta en el salon, en el estudio, y en las habitaciones.

We are getting crazy with the decoration of our new home, the most dificult is to get the same idea between two. I love the soft colors, white walls, some black and white furniture and a lot of natural wood the same as the oak wood floor, lots of handmade and design details, but he prefers to put on the walls all his colection of guitars and skate decs.Ok, we can put 1 or 2, but not everywere in the house! At least the beautifull baroque molding is ready in the rest room, in the studio and in the bedrooms.

Estos broches de porcelana estan a la venta en Etsy, porcelana echa a mano de unos 3,5 cm y pintada con tinta china y pequeños toques de acuarela. Creo que esta la ultima parte obsesiva que he tenido estas navidades, dibujar pajaros por todas partes.

This porcelain broochs are available at Etsy, handmade porcelain about 3,5 cm round and hand draw with chinesse ink and touches of watercolors. I think that this is the last part of an obsessive drawing that i had this christmas, draw birds everywere.

Esta es una pequeña seleccion de algunos estampados que he echo para una pequeña marca de ropa de Donostia, para su coleccion de verano 2011. Se llama Zergatik, y ya os he enseñado algunos pequeño trabajos que he ido haciendo para ellos. Mucha inspiracion oriental sacado de sus numerosos viajes a los paises asiaticos. Pronto os ensañare mas aqui y en mi web tambien.

This is a little selection of some all overs i have made for a little fashion brand from San Sebastian called Zergatik, for their 2011 summer colecction. I had talk about this little works before. I am going to upload more here soon and also to my web. A lot of oriental inspiration that i get from their roadtrip to the asiatic contries.

Estos broches de porcelana estan a la venta en Etsy, porcelana echa a mano de unos 3,5 cm y pintada con tinta china. Inspiracion apartir de las formas que se forman al construir formas origami. Con broche de seguridad. Varnizado con barniz brillante para que no se estropee.

This porcelain broochs are available at Etsy, handmade porcelain about 3,5 cm round and hand draw with chinesse ink. My inspiration for the draw of this brooch came from the forms and shapes that makes the paper when you are doing a origami item.

Lunes otra vez y de vuelta a la normalidad. Llevo unos dias con fiebre y gripe, pero poco a poco me empiezo a encontrar mejor.

Empiezo el primer post Monday Is Color del año con Lydia Meying. Esta ilustradora de Manchester, UK, tiene unos estampdos muy alegres, frescos y de inspiracion animal y de la naturaleza. Puedes verla aqui.

La navidad llega a su fin. Hoy en dia apenas nieva y nos hacemos mayores. Pero siempre seguiremos encontrando cosas tan bonitas como estas.

Christmas is going to end. Today the snow is not appearing and we are going growing up. But we are always going to find some beautifull things like this.

New hand draws - random nature

He echo algunos pequeños dibujos con cartulinas que tenia olvidadas y estan pintadas a mano.
A pesar de que tenia en mente terminar algunas cosillas ( que voy arrastrando y nunca termino), solo he tenido ganas de pintarajear con un rotu-pincel de tinta china que compre hace tiempo.
Mucha inspiracion organica y geometrica y elementos repetitivos, lineas y un pequeño pajarillo dentro de un arbol-pagoda.

I have made some little prints with some forgotten cardboards and they are hand draw. In spite of i had in mind to finish some new things ( that i am making step by step), i only finish this ones with a chinese ink pen-brush that i bought some time ago.

A lot of organic and geometry inspiration, as usual, and random elements, lines and little bird living in a kind of pagoda tree.

Hola 2011!
que tal tu comienzo de año? queria empezar este primer post del año dando la gracias a todos los que visitais el blog y me leeis. Y gracias también por los comentarios, que aunque son poquitos, se que estais ahi.
Ha sido un año muy intenso para mi, con muchos cambios, todos buenos, en los que no he parado ni un momento.
Dije adiós a un trabajo que aunque me gustaba, me tenia agotada, pero he dicho hola a otros pocos que me hacen sonreir.
Ahora puedo vivir de mi trabajo freelance algo en lo que nunca habia pensado.Y desde casa, que eso para mi es un lujazo.
Nos hemos comprado una casa nueva, grande, espaciosa, con jardín y al pie de las montañas.

Y he puesto en marcha Little Blue Day, que para mi es como ese pequeño respiro que me tomo todos los días. Little Blue Day nació para que todos podamos tener un pequeño día azul, con un ratito de alegría, de sonrisas, con detalles. Little Blue Day ha cumplido un año online!

Hello 2011!

how was you begining of the year? i wanted to start the first post of the year giving thank you to all of you, that you read me and visit me. And thank you also for the comments, that are still a few but i now that you are there.

It was a very hard year for me because they were a lot of changes in my live, but all of them were for bether.

I said goodbye to a 5 years work because i was tired, but i said hello to another good ones that make me smile. Now i can live with my freelance work, something that i never thought about. And i work at home, that for me, is luxury.

We bought a new house, bigger, with a lot of space,a garden and near mountains.

And i start Little Blue Day, that for me is that little breath that i take every day. Little Blue Day started, like that little moment, little detail or smile that we have every day. Little Blue Day has done one year online!

Welcome 2011!
